Where has the time gone!!!

Well lets update!! It has really been since Febuary, I have been running around crazy and wild with no time. Why do I always feel so tired? I am working full time now from 6:30-2pm which is great. Brooke is now in a ballet tap calss and loves it. She is getting so big I can't belive my eyes! Caleb is turning into his terrible twos, its outrageous! I thought I just got Brooke out of that!!! He is starting to say so many new words. We are currently in Friendswood Texas which I love my new house and neighborhood!! Its wonderful and it will be fun to remodel. Jared is still working at BP and we are thankful for our Jobs :). Brooke currently had her tonsils and Adnoieds out on Wed, and is running around like a mad women. I totally cried alot with this which is so odd because Caleb had tubes in July and I did not shed a tear. I have been off for the last two weeks which has been wonderful. I love my kids and its been nice to get my house in order. So our plans for thankgiving and Christmas are staying home because of Jareds work schedule.

Caleb turned ONE on Friday Febuary 19. Where does the time go. This year really has flown by. He just seem so little still. He is totally walking everywhere. His 12 month check up put him in th 22% for weight....up from 17. Slowly we are increasing. He is in the 67% for height. My long and lean baby. Still only has his little off the to the side snaggle tooth. He says mmm,( he is getting close to ma ma) dada ( of course) and he growls alot. He is so Fun. Such a joy to have and be around. He loves to wrestle with dad, such a boy!!! Obviously that is good. Brooke and him are such different personalities. Thank goodness he is so laid back. He absolutly adores his sister and cracks up at everything she does. He hardly ever cries and when he does it is for a serious reason. He really is such a snuggler too.. He is so fun and We will definitely keep him around.

The New Year- 2010- and Update

It has been forever since I posted anything. I have been insanely busy between my wonderful kids and husband and balancing a new job, trying to sell the house (really meaning I need to keep it super clean). Time really has flown by!! Brooke is basically potty trained having a few accidents. We still keep her in the pull ups, not for too much longer. Hopefully till the pull ups are gone. She is really starting to shoot up. Brooke is really cracking me up now with what she says. She is speaking in sentences and I love it!! She definitely like to talk... I wonder where that came from. HAHAHA! Anyways, she loves her brother and wants to be the boss for sure. Always telling him what to do and "no no little boy" and yet she is so loving with him. She wants to hold him all the time and he doesn't really want to be held any more. She always wants to be the center of attention and anything Caleb has she all the sudden wants to play with it. We love her so much and she is so much fun to watch growing up! She loves going to her school and enjoys all the fun things they get to do. Caleb is really getting close to walking, he took three steps. I am so amazed how fast the year has gone with him. I really feel like I just had him. He will be one on Febuary 19! He is so skinny and long. He was int the 20th percent for his weight. That was up from his 6 month check at 17. The dr's wanted to make sure I was feeding him right. I was a little emabrresed that my son is so small and when Brooke was his age was such a chunk. Oh well, he is finally starting to act more into food. He says "dadadadada". Of course I am still working on the mama. He finally broke a tooth! He has one barely poking through. Yeah! He gives kisses and claps, he really is so smart. It does not take him long to figure out things especially with his mischivious sister. I am sure they will be partners in crime soon. He loves his new mickey mouse push toy. He seriously runs with it. He really could probably walk on his own I just think he is still to afraid or prefers to crawl like a speed demon. Caleb is so awesome and easy going with only the ocassional outburst. He' satys tough with Brooke. I am pretty sure there will be a role reversal soon and I will here many cries from her. Jared and I are moving along Hopefully we will sell soon and be able to build. It's been exciting. We have picked out our new house plan for the 40th time, hopefullly this one will stick. I really like it. I have a new Job at a pediatric dental Offive Of course like many othe Americans we have made goals to lose weight. We will be married for 7 years in June and I am hitting the later 20's this year. Where does the time go. Hopefully I will not be pregnant this year! I have been pregnant at some time in the year for 4 years The goal this year is no baby! LOL. I hope everyone was able to have a wonderful Holiday season and we are excited to see what 2010 brings. What A busy week!!! Jeremy and Heather made it to the temple and are now off on there Cruise. It was absolutely wonderful to be in the temple and see them get married. I am so thankful for them more than words could even say. I hope it was the best day of there life! Heather looked absolutly gorgeous and well, Jeremy was handsome too. There was Candy and chocolate all over the reception. I kept seeing Brooke sticking her fingers in the side of the Grooms cake!! Ahhh! Every time I saw here she was running around dancing and then to the chocolate fountain, grooms cake or candy table! She was pretty serious candy high!! She had a total Blast! This past weekend we were so excited to get to visit our cousins in Louisiana. Brooke absolutly adores Her cousin Emma Claire and Carson . Not to mention its always fun for me too because I have such an awesome Sister in law over there . I was thankful to get to ride with my mother in law. The ride wasn't bad because I got to catch up on the girl talk. The party was a blast. They had two big moon walks. Brooke loved going down the slide. She loves the trampoline too. I did make the cake, and it was some work .We had a cake-tastrophe!! I totally cried,but we made it, and the cake turned out super cute for a totally cute and sweet little princess who turned four!! Congrats Emma Claire we love you!!

Mom and Dads Escape!

After a long night at Six Flags, Jared and I went up to Oklahoma and checked out a few sites. It was really fun. We hiked up on some trails in some different places. We first went to Chickasaw National Park and went through some natural springs. The water was of course cold and beautiful. Crystal clear. It was fun to be out outdoors and not feel like we were melting. Not to mention the scenery was beautiful. After that we went up and saw An antique Tractor show. It was hilarious, I felt so country watching these tractors race... to see who could idle the slowest. We walked around and checked out all the tractors. I've never seen so many old people in overalls!! Good country Folk, all of them so nice! Then we headed up to Turner Falls Park. It was awesome! We are taking the kids next time because they have a ton of shallow spots to let the kids splash around in. They had a huge slide and just a great out doors area! We stayed over night in a little cabin and Slept in! Yeah, but we still got up at 8, but that was sleeping in! Thanks Mom and Dad for watching the kiddos!

Frito Lay Six Flags Day!!

We went to Dallas because my Dads company rents out six flags and has a private party. They provide you with 10$ spending money per ticket and you can get Pepsi and Frito Lay products all over the park complimentary. It was way fun Brooke was hilarious to watch. I really wanted to take her on this kids roller coaster but Brooke was still a little too short. They have all these rides she can go on by herself so it was fun too watch her be a little more independent. We were lucky we went with my parents too. Jared and I got to go on a few our self. It was fun to feel like a big kid again. I don't have the stomach like I used too. I have to be more careful about the rides we go on. Jared just makes fun of me, but I'd rather that then be sick the rest of the time. Caleb really is such a good baby. He just sat in the stroller checking out all the colors and events going on.

Jared was taking care of Caleb and was feeding him. He kept dozing off while he was feeding him and the bottle would drop. I kept telling him I would do it but he reassured me he was fine and not tired at all. This was the end product! Love it!!

Brooke is insanely jealous when Jared picks up Caleb. She freaks out and gets all in his face. It is really funny to watch because she wants him to pay attention to her.

She tries to push Caleb off and she will even point at the floor and say "cacub" meaning she wants him to put Caleb down. I think she has just gotten used to it with me but she still has her moments. They both get plenty of time to play with their dad!

My Birthday!

I turned 25 on the 9th. It is so weird. I used to always be the youngest, now I'm not. Although, I still think of myself as being 18 still. No longer in my early twenties!!! I feel pretty happy with life so that's a good thing. I am blessed with a wonderful husband and two beautiful kids. We went to New Braunfels and floated the river with Nick and Hillary. It was so much Fun!! Thanks for hangin with us! And a huge thank you to my awesome Brother and sister in law who watched my kids for the whole day. I really love them. Jared made me a cookie cake on Sunday. He may not have the decorating skills but it was cute. Plus he couldnt find any candels so this is Jareds make shift version.

It took him a little bit to light. Brooke was so cute, she kept telling me " happy day mommy" and she sang happy Birthday. She really is growing up!!The only bad thing was both my kids were up all night so I was totally exhausted. Gotta love being a mom. Birthdays are just not the same anymore. All and all it was a fun weekend.

I decorated some cupcakes for one of my friends and Brooke got to join in on the fun. It was hilarious and kept her occupied while I did my thing. When I was done and got things cleaned up I put them all on the table watching her like a hawk. A few times she brought me a cupcake and said"cu cu mom",Hoping they were all not destroyed. They made it to their destination, although I did have to remake one.

Sport'in the mommy look!!

This past week we went with Jared's family out to Lake LBJ near Austin. We stayed in a home right on the lake. It was pretty nice. While all the boys went fishing a few of us took the kids to the park a little ways down. There were Deer all over the place. Leave to Brooke to find some of the deer poop. Mommy having another freak out moment. I swear she thinks it is so funny when she makes me mad.

Brooke loved the Boat and everywhere we were she wanted her life vest on and was ready to take a ride. We tried to take her on the tube but she freaked. Not ready for that much fun. It was fun to spend time with family. Mel Rocking the tube!! They tried hard to flip her but she stayed strong!! You rock Mel!!

We did finally get some girl time though. All of the girls (minus Mel, we missed you!!) went on a zip line tour. It was really fun and I definitely needed some girl time. We zip lined from big cypress trees one they think is around 500 years old! I also learned some survival plants, just in case! It was a blast.

Houston to Dallas

I was so excited to get to go up to Dallas to visit my parents. That really should happen more often. I always love to visit and my mom always helps me out with the kiddos, not to mention my little Brookie loves her Grandpa. It really is so funny she likes to follow him around. It was really relaxing.I got to see a Harry Potter in the Theater!! It was a good one.

We went to the pool and the park almost every day. Uncle Zac was a blast to hang out with at the Pool. I really love that baby pool. It was deep enough but not too deep for her to stand. We ate lunch almost everyday like a picnic by the pool.

There were baby birds in one of my moms trees that we had to look at every time we went by. Baby birds are really ugly!!I wish we lived closer, I hate to leave but we did miss our Daddy.

Independance day

I know this is late but, I have been gone so I am trying to catch up. We were lucky enough to get to visit our cousins in Louisiana for July 4th. Jared was working so we went and stayed over there for a few days. Brooke's Aunt Sherri is awesome and threw here a mini party because they wouldn't be able to come for her actual Birthday. Brooke totally loves Carson and Emma Claire and it is getting nicer because she is actually starting to play with them. Turning into such a little girl and not a baby! I Knew before I went I would need Sherri's support to get rid of Brooke's pacifier's. She loves those dang things and would sleep with like 6 of them. It really wasn't to bad but thankfully Sherri was there. I might have caved!! Thanks!!! We gave them to the dogs in Lousiana so she cannot retriev them and neither can mom. I really think it was harder on me. She still tries to steal Caleb's and hide to get in a few sucks. Brooke tires to give Caleb his pacifier's now and will get so frustrated because she really can't understand why he doesn't want it!! Because she does! Caleb is not really a pacifier baby so we probably won't have to go through this with him.

She really is wanting to do everything herself and she did not want me to help her with this sparkler! AHHHH!!!!

Party Time!!

Caleb sat in the swing most of the time.

So I officially have a 2 year old! Brooke had her birthday July 9. It really is hard to believe I have only had her 2 years ago. Its so fun to see how are family is changing. For Brooke's Party we had a huge Water slide a bouncer castle and a slushy machine. It was a blast, Thanks to our Friends at Bounce above. Brooke loved that slide. We were lucky and got it Friday afternoon and had it till Sunday morning. We went on that slide so many times! Brooke was a little scared at first but by Sunday morning she woke up and told me "slide mama slide" She really did have a blast not to mention the rest of the family! Those things really make you act like a big kid! Thanks again to everyone who helped us celebrate her turning two.
Hopefully she wont' be too terrible!!

I do love to make Cakes, but they are way stressful! Lets re phrase... I love the end product! Brooke's theme was Pink and Zebra so The cake turned out cute!! Robin helped me do the Zebra. Thanks!! It was new to work with the fondant but it turned out pretty easy. I was so tempted to buy her cake but I'm glad I ended up making it. Brooke loved the cake every time we went by it "cake mama cake" "mine!" She really has the mine thing down!
I was going through all of Brooke's baby pictures and I really can not believe how much she has changed!! It really is so Crazy. Especially with having Caleb. They really do look alot alike but Brook was a little chunkier! I almost started crying going through all of these pictures! Life goes on, and we really are glad our kids grow up ,right? Just wanted to give everyone an update about what has been going on. Jared turned 27 today so I just have to be so thankful for him!! I am thankful that he was born and became the wonderful man / husband/ dad, he is today. He ha been working hard. So what doesnt Jared do! He is awesome he really can do anything. I love so much about him, not to mention he is really hot!! Its ok to wish you were me:)!!Haha. We bought 3 acres of land that we are going to build on so we...he has been busy keeping that up. He had to get a tractor to mow it and Brooke loves it!! You know your country when....right? This is our land. I really love it and I am excited about building!

Well anyways, Brooke will be 2 on Thursday!! I can not believe it. I feel like she is growing up so fast. She is talking so much and really getting crazy and definitely showing signs of being 2! Gotta love the dramatic throwing herself on the floor to get her way!! I do love her so much, but she tests me alot!! This is a picture she took She really loves to do it herself. "Mommy. I wana dodo" She really is so proud of herself!! We got rid of her pacifiers this weekend in Louisiana. I needed the support of my sister in law because I knew I was the reason we hadn't already tossed it. Thanks Sherri!! Gotta say we both did pretty good. She is hilarious though because Caleb still has his so she will sneak it and hide her face to try and get in some sucks. So cute but she knows we gave hers to the dogs. I feel like she is getting close to being potty trained and then she doesn't even try! Totally craps everywhere!It will be nice to get her out of diapers. She hates having a wet diaper and will inform me of it right away! Hopefully soon!! Now Caleb, my little man. He is getting so big. He is only 38% for weight and 47% for height. Brooke was always so big and he is a little small. Which the doctor assures me he is average which is 5 '10" - 6ft. My nightmares might come true! Jolly green girls and miniature boys! No, but really he doesn't seem small. He is all smiles and I love it. He is a great baby except for the sleeping at night. He tries so hard, i feel bad because i can tell he wants to do things. he started to continuously roll to get places. Its pretty funny. He is cutting 4 teeth right now so he has been a little on the cranky side. Such a bad mom. I was wondering why hes wasn't sleeping and drooling all the time. Poor thing I just gave him some Tylenol tonight and he knocked out. He started eating rice cereal and Brooke can't get to close wih out gagging, but Caleb loves it! On to my crazy self. I still don't know how I am functioning on such little sleep. It will be nice when all of this comes to an end and everyone sleeps through the night. It seems like if Caleb actually sleeps Brooke wakes up scared!! AHhhA! Just my luck. I still feel crazy with 2 kids, but starting to get more the hang of it. I love my family and our crazy life!!

Nap Time?!?

Nap time has been a struggle for us lately. Brooke can climb out of her crib so we made it into a day bed. No point of having it there. Just more chances for falling, and Brooke does that quite often. Not really paying attention, running into walls and such. Well I put her down for nap today and she made some noises but She stayed in her room for about 45 min. She comes out and much to my surprise was covered in white!! I didn't bother checking on her because she seems so play and then finally fall asleep. Well she sure played!! In her desk in her room was a box of cornstarch I use for diaper rash. Well need less to say she dumped it everywhere. When she came out of her room it was really hard for me to not just burst out laughing! Then of course she tries to run away!! Do they really think we won't catch them!! I had to add Brooke taking care of her baby. She loves it. It so funny how into them she is, she always brings them out when I am feeding or changing Caleb's diaper. Oh how I love her!!

I am addicted!! I love it and cant wait!! I totally love Edward. I don't ever read but i read all of the series in like 3 weeks. Not so good for a mom who doesn't ever sleep. Good thing there weren't anymore. Jared was getting mad because all I wanted to do was read. Gotta love me some Twilight!

Karoke Night at Pepper's

I have really been missing in action from church and church activities. I will say the change from one to two children, and the absent husband who has to work all the time has had a lot to do with it. I used the excuse I just had a baby for really too long. I am trying to get my butt back in gear for myself and more for the kids. You know us moms do everything for their kids. I will say it has been really hard. I really don't know how you can do more than two children. I did good until I hit 3 months and now I am so exhausted. The baby is up most of the night and then comes the toddler down the stairs. One can only function like that for so long. So I have to give a big thank you to all the girls who were at Anna's farewell party. I went for Anna of course, because she is awesome and I had a blast. I will say I am a crazy girl and like to have fun, and it was really nice to hang out with the girls and have some good quality adult conversations. It was nice to get to know some ladies in the ward. Our ward has changed so much and I have been MIA for so long I don't know too many of the ladies. Anyways. I needed that! M& M rocked the mic! I can only do rap songs I really don't have a bombdigidy voice like JENNY! She tore it up!! Awesome fun girls!

Beach!

We went to the beach for memorial day weekend. It was the first time we had been since last year. Brooke was hilarious. She thought the waves were so fun and the sand was awesome. She loved it all. She is really brave though so it was hard to do anything but keep up with her. She is a wild one. We were so glad to get to spend some time with our cousins too.

Caleb is starting to smile alot!! His face totally lights up and he is just so dang cute!! I love it. He starts to coo and smile and really interact with us! He especially loves it when his sister comes and talks to him it is so cute. I finally got some good ones on the camera. Oh yes all of your hearts can melt as you look at the pictures of this totally handsome little boy. Be jealous, but don't be fooled by his super sweet smile. He comes alive at night, the very late hours and all through!!

Since it has warmed up we have spent alot of time outside in the back yard. Jared built a covered patio and we love it! We spend tons of time outside running in the sprinkler and playing in the pool. Caleb usually sits on the table in his swing and just watches all the fun. Poor little guy, he just wants to join in on all the fun! We love it when Noah comes to play!

So, we finally made it to the blessing day. We had several days picked out and we moved it like 3 times to get everyone there, but we still missed other family members. We decided we couldn't wait much longer so He got blessed May 3rd. It was exciting. Such a cute little guy. It was fun to hang out with all the Family. A Visit to Grandmas

Oh how we love to visit grandma, but hate the drive. I really should not complain about a 5 hour drive. It's not near as bad as what we used to drive; 22 hours to Colorado. With the kids though its rough. Brooke hates the car and she can pull her straps off so I am constantly getting on to her about staying in her car seat. Then adding Caleb in has made life a bit hectic. Crazy, I should say. The sleepless nights are starting to ware on me.By the time Caleb goes to sleep Brooke is up. All my days and nights are jumbled together. I can hardly keep the day straight. Hopefully I will catch up to my life soon. That's why I love grandma!! I wish I lived closer to my mom, but I am so blessed to have an awesome mother in law down here. I love it when Brooke plays with them and she loves them too!! We love to visit you Grandma Hall and Miss you!!

Kemah!!

We went to Kemah Boardwalk today and Brooke had a Blast!! She kept shouting "Yee Haa!" and "giddy up!" on the Carousel. It was hard for Jared to get in the plane. She didn't want to leave. We will have to visit again soon because she gets to ride for free until she's two. Today was just one of those great all around fun filled family days. The ones that make you feel like your really enjoying your life. Brooke really has this scream that is totally ear piercing. Everyone always looks, I thought all little girls did that...Apparently not. When she's excited you know it! We love her!!

So I am trying to catch up with all my pictures. I loved my kids in their Easter Outfits. I am loving being a mother of two. Hard sometimes but totally worth all the joy they bring me. Caleb is getting so cute. He is starting to get fat cheeks and fill out. He smiled for the first time not being gassy!! Brooke is saying more and more things and amazes me with how smart she is. Catches on to everything making mommy and daddy more aware of what comes our of our mouths. Caleb still eats every 2 hours so the nights are still rough but I'm getting used to it. Thankful for nap time!Brooke is starting to get a little frustrated with Caleb. She wants him to play, so she has tried.. well it looks like she is dumping him out of the swing. I have to keep my eyes on her!! We have a blast together, loving our family more and more!

Easter Egg Hunts!!

So this Easter we got our share of egg hunts. By the last one Brooke had it down pretty well. The eggs were a little difficult to find thanks to Uncle Jeremy. But everyone helped her out. Plus the last ones were real eggs which was a first. Pretty funny when she finally realized it and wanted to break them all and squish them. We had lots of fun hunting eggs with our family and friends. We had a total of 4 egg hunts.

We got to have my Niece from Louisiana stay with us for almost a week. We had a blast! Emma Claire is 3 and 1/2 so it was fun for Brooke to have someone to play with. Hopefully that potty trained Emma Claire will rub off on Brooke. We went to the Children's museum and Chuckee Cheese's and definitely made some stops at McDonald's. The funniest part about them being together was how they communicated. Brooke can say some things but not a ton and Emma Claire of course can talk a bunch. I'm glad they didn't get sick of each other. It was fun to get to spend that much time with her. Thanks Sherri and Phil for letting us kidnap her for the week. We made a fire and roasted some marshmallows.Emma Claire managed to get quite a bit of the marshmallows in her hair. Yeah for cousins!

So the day has finally arrived that Jared's little brother Jeremy gets home from his Mission.He got home March 22. Totally late post. He served in the Riverside California mission, Spanish speaking. Nice to have that language around here!! Maybe I can get some lessons!!Our Family grew quite a bit while he was gone. he left the March before Brooke was born and when he got back we had Brooke an Caleb. But, that didn't bother Brooke at all. She absolutly loves him. Especially when she gets to pull him around with her. The Stawberry Patch

We went to pick Strawberries out in Alvin. Brooke was hilarious. we had to keep reminding her to only pick the green ones. After a while she just started picking them and eating them, only taking one bite and getting another one. It was fun and the strawberries were great! Caleb didn't get too many strawberries picked. Caleb is doing well, growing everyday. Probably because he eats all the time!!At his two week check he was 8lbs 9 oz so no worries about his weight. Brooke absolutly loves him and gets so concerned when he cries. If he cries for to long she starts to cry too. I wish I could say he was sleeping through the night but he's not even close. By the time he goes to sleep its time for Brooke to wake up in the morning. Thankfully my mom came this past week and took him at night so I could get some shut eye!!

So, we had an interesting past week. I went to the Dr on Monday and was dilated to a 4 and had some high bp issues. My dr sent me over to the hospital to monitor me and see what my bp would do. Totally not prepared I had to call my sister in law Dianna to come get Brooke and I went to the hospital to be monitored for the rest of the afternoon. Since my BP didn't go down she put me on bed rest and told me to come see her Thursday at 8:30am. Not expecting this at all and being on bed rest was freaking me out because I had so much more to do. In my mind I still had 1 1/2 weeks till my original induction date. Bed rest sucked of course! So thankful to Robin and Dianna for helping me out and of course my husband for dealing with me. I go in on Thursday, still high blood pressure and head over to the hospital, and get monitored some more and then get induced. I started my pitosin drip about 11:30am and had him at 7:33pm. A little longer than i wanted to be sitting there not having him but I probably pushed 3 times and he was here. What a difference a pound makes! Brooke was 8.3!! Any way Our newest addition, Caleb Ryan Livesay! So excited to have him here finally, not to mention he looks like his daddy! Brooke was too cute when she met him. She was so soft and careful. She loves him!

We went shopping for Jared for Valentine present's and Brooke fell in love with this Balloon. It sings and she loves it. So I decided we could get it for Jared and the song plays "Still the one" so I figured that part could be from me and the balloon could be from her. Every time she sees the balloon she makes it sing and dances and it turns into this crazy fest of dancing for like 30 min. She gets pretty wild. This video is towards the end. I wish I would have got the camera out sooner! Anyway, She loves to dance!! Such a poser too, I pull out the camera and her head immediately tilts to the side and she says "cheese". I love her so much. She is hilarious and turning into such a little girl! What a fun Valentine's day we had!

I went to the Doctor on Monday and I got all my pre-op work ready for the BIG DAY. February 26,2009!! SO SOON!! So, I have been really getting the nesting bug. I freaked out at the beginning of the week when I realized I had 3 weeks left. It's crazy knowing I'm going to be induced because it gives you a for sure deadline of things. I really think I burned the inside of my nose with chemicals when I was cleaning the bathrooms. Not so good. Everywhere I look I see dust and dirty, like I can't get it all!! It's Driving me crazy! I just don't feel ready, but I sure am tired of him kicking me all the time. Soon it will be I'm tired of his crying in the middle of the night. AHHH! I am ready to get all this weight off me,bending over and being able to breath will be so nice. But seriously to the gym I will go getting my new found Pillsbury dough boy love handles off! So, for the most part I'm ready for the baby to come out so I can get back to normal, but what will be normal, a new little boy will be coming into our family so I will just have to get used to it. I just hope Brooke adjusts okay. I am really nervous about adding #2 into the mix. I can see both sides of Brooke...Her attacking him and saying "NO!NO!" and her snuggling him and being Mommy's little helper. Hopefully it will be #2. Anyways, Hopefully the next post you see will be Caleb!!

A girl and her Dog

Every time we go in the backyard all Brooke is ever interested in is our dog Jake. He is a huge dog and has gotten to be very aware of his size compared to her. He is very good with her and she absolutly adores him. She tries to act like him and I have to keep a close eye on her because she continues to eat dog food. I try to tell her its for him but she has sure gotten enough dog food in her system. She also gets on her hands and knees and tries to drink out of his bowl. I can't take it!! I've been taking her more in the front but she wants to go back with the dog. Hopefully soon she will stop eating his food!! Anyway I got some pretty cute pictures. He's so laid back and loves all the attention he gets from her.

Cold Texas Nights

So I admit I have lived in the Houston area for a while since I was 11 and have grown accustom to the climate here. So I freeze outside when the temp is around 50 degrees, I am such a wuss. Jared and I love to visit the snow and I would love to live up North(all though it would take some getting used to) Jared refers to Colorado as "coldorado" and never wants to move. So we enjoy the cold to us nights. We recently got an outdoor fire pit and love it. Brooke got to roast s'mores with daddy and loves being outside. She is very cautious of the fire and repeatedly says "hot hot" every time she looks at it. She loves the s'mores though!! Just fun to hang out around the fire. That doesn't happen too long around here soon we will enjoy the rest of the year in the pool!

Brooke's hair is growing slowly but surely and she has started to let me fix her hair. At first it was such a struggle for her to stay still but now I think she likes to get pampered, not to mention her hair stays out of her eyes. So, today i decided to put pig tails in her hair. So cute! My baby girl is growing up! She is looking less and less like a baby.I'm sure we will start using pig tails more often!

Snow Fest!!!

The city of Pearland has an annual Snow fest and we went and had a blast. Daddy took off that weekend to come so, all the more fun! Brooke loved it. She ran around crazy! She loved riding the ponies and feeding the animals in the petting zoo. Although she wasn't a fan of the goats. They were a little rough. Since there is hardly ever snow here they always make snow for the kids to play in and this year they had snow tubing! I do have to say we had a rough time in the lines, But worth the wait her 5 seconds on the slide!! Yeah! She doesn't want to wait!! Which who can blame her. Needless to say she had a great nap!

Surgery and Good news!!

Brooke had surgery yesterday, and thankfully she did great. I was so nervous about the general anesthesia. I was a wreck Monday night, crying randomly as I would look at her. She didn't have a clue and I was freaking out. were we doing the right thing and then all the what if's start coming. I really had to control my thoughts. She had what called deflux on her left and right ureter's to repair the reflux (which is causing all her UTI's). Hopefully this will fix it. we will still have to have her do some more testing to make sure. My poor baby is going to hate the Dr!! I was so worried the nurses would be having secret conversations pointing out the hysterical mom with her little girl, I got it all out Monday night! I was like a rock Mom!! Brooke was great she just let the dr's wheel her back on this Big wheels bike. The procedure was short but still seemed long to Jared and I. She was just mad when she woke up and ready to get out of there. After a about an hour in recovery we were able to go home. The pat day and a half Brooke has just been exhausted and a little cranky but she did wonderful. Such a trooper! I have to say how awesome my sister in law is she came over and cleaned my house and cooked for us! Oh yes, how jealous you all now are!! She's mine!! So on to the Good news. Our new baby boy will be born on February 26! My Dr already schedule the day for me to be induced. It seems so close now that I have a for sure day, unless of course he comes earlier but that will be 38 weeks so hopefully he will hang on till then. It is defiantly nice to be able to plan it. So everyone can be prepared, however I will never get the excitement of being surprised!

Christmas Train

So this year we tried to go to the Christmas train at the Livingstone's church. There was a huge line and Brooke just liked looking at the moving reindeer. She was totally scared of them but was so interested in them. She kept on having on we of us go by here to see them. We decided to skip the Christmas train and just walk around. This year Brooke was really fun! She really got into opening her presents and getting on her new toys. She was at first a little nervous on her 4 wheeler because all you do is press a button and it goes and now she is having a total blast!! We played for quite a while until I convinced her it was time for breakfast. Jared totally surprised me with a new necklace! So pretty!! The picture really doesn't do it justice. Jared got a new/used boat for fishing so all in all we had a very spoiling Christmas as a family!

So this year we were fortunate to get Jared for a whole 5 days!! It was so fun to have him around all the time. Brooke loves to get this picture and point out her dad when he is at work. It really is the cutest thing. She carries around this picture and keeps pointing him out to me! She really is a daddy's girl. She runs to the door when he gets home, screaming! Now that Jared is back at work Brooke always checks his side of the bed to see where he is. I have to tell her he is at work. Wouldn't it be nice if money just grew on trees. Brooke and I went up to Dallas for a week to spend with my family. She doesn't get to see them to often but she had a blast. of course by the time we left she had warmed up to everyone and was acting herself again. Crazy energizer bunny. I kept telling my mom that's she so busy and now she knows. Hahaha. She is fun to play with. She is starting to say words more and I have found she likes to call me Monica. Chicken Pox

Well, I have to say I am tired of the sicknesses!! Brooke woke up Friday morning acting cranky and by the afternoon running a fever. After a few more hours the spots started showing up. Hopefully she wont get the Chicken pox to bad. of course the dr's offices are closed so hopefully we will make it through the weekend. We had a rough night last night, hoping tonight will be better. So, I am sorry if anyone else's child comes up with the chicken pox, just keep an eye out! My poor baby, I feel so bad because she has had all these urinary tract problems and she's having surgery at the end of December. Hopefully the new year will bring on good health for Brooke. She is such a trooper. Always making the best of things and trying to be happy. I love her!!

Thanksgiving Day!!

I love this time of year. It always seems to fly by. I love being able to spend time with all the family. Although it was a sad year this year because so many things were different. Jared had to work so that wasn't fun. It was nice to hang out with his family and then heading over to my aunts to get more turkey and dessert. So full!! Brooke had a blast loving all the attention from her cousins. At her grandmas they have a little table and Brooke loves it. Her cousin Eden is a little younger and she had a blast sitting and "Chatting" with her. Mostly one sided babble from Brooke but she doesn't care So cute!! This was the first time in as long as I can remember I didn't get to go out all crazy on Black Friday with my mom. We have almost made it a tradition. We pull the way early and usually hit all the stores, making the whole day shopping. This year I only hit two stores by myself, finding myself talking to random strangers. Still fun but not like with my mommy. Hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving and we are looking forward to the rest of this holiday season.

Halloween Night!

So, Halloween was a blast. It was Fun to see Noah and Brooke running around in thier costumes. She ate it all up loving the attention she got from everyone. It didn't take her long to realize she could hold more candy in her bucket than in her hands. Daddy only had to show her once! Don't you just love the turtle!! He was so cute!!At work earlier that day we all dressed up so the hygienist were cats. And yes that is Baby bump showing true colors. the joys of pregnancy and the pounds start to roll on as the weeks go by.The best time of the year to have an excuse to eat whatever I want and blame it all on the baby!! Sam- The Ferret

While recovering from the Hurricane, Robin and Aaron got to come stay with us because they were out of power for quite a while. They have a new ferret, her name is Sam. She is so cute and it was a blast for Brooke. It kept her very occupied. If Sam would go under the couch Brooke was on the ground looking for her and loved following her around. The funniest thing is she loved to play with Sam but she didn't want to pet her too much. Noah was not quite as interested,he went after Sam a few times but he was not scared at all. He was much rougher when he tried to grab her.Sam ran from him to save her life,otherwise she might have been squeezed a little to hard!!It was fun to have them stay and I'm sure they were ready to go back when they got power back!!

Recovering From Ike

So, we made it through the storm. Everyone can now take a breath and start to clean up. We evacuated to Dallas to stay with my parents, we left middle of the night wed and missed alot of traffic. We are thankful our home didn't get to much damage. Our tree was down and uable to save. There were some missing shingles off the roof and our fence was torn down. We got home Sunday afternoon and other than a few detours traffic was not to bad. Driving through was Houston was insane. It was crazy to see how much damage Ike did. Our House was without power since Friday night and we were hoping to have it back on Sunday when we got home. Not quite that lucky though, we just got power late last night. Thankfully I have husband that is very prepared. We have a generator and while we were in Dallas we got a window unit. We all slept pretty comfortably. Which was nice since I'm pregnant and still having rough days. Of course we always want the baby to sleep through the night. Thank you honey for having a generator and ac!!! This picture of Brooke, she is mad at me because her daddy is outside and she wants to be too. But she just wants to help.....turns to her getting in daddy's way.

Well, It has been a while since I posted anything. I have not really been enjoying to many other views than the toilet with the joys of being pregnant. Hopefully soon all that will be over! I am coming up on 14 weeks and I'm hoping to find out what we are having on Monday. We will see!! I have been trying to tell Brooke that mommy has a new baby in her tummy and trying to teach my little rough and tough girl how to be soft. I am so afraid she is just going to be this huge bully when the new one arrives. All though I have been sick time seems to be flying by. This babies due date just seems to be getting so close and I still have tons to do. Not to mention the little one who is the energizer bunny. Hopefully the two naps will keep going for a little longer. Other exciting news... My sister is pregnant!! Yes little Robin is going to have a baby! She is only about 5 weeks behind me. Although not planned, I am totally excited and hope we have are the same sex baby so we can do all the same fun things. Jared is still working like crazy and alot of days just seem the same. Brooke always keeps things interesting. She is starting to say new words, like "go" and I love how she now babbles to me with such a serious face and just continues in conversation. One thing is for sure she love her daddy. When Daddy gets home he had better pay attention to her. She runs to him at the door and follows him around and gets so upset when he shuts the door to take a shower....how could he leave her out there. She just gets so upset. Such a drama queen. But, don't get her wrong she knows she can get what she wants from daddy. So hilarious!!

Our trip to Colorado

We went to Colorado this past week. We had a blast Brooke loved playing outside. Its so nice up there. Everyone was complaining it was so Hot but we loved it. Anything is better than Houston. It was fun to see family that had never met Brooke.We don't get to see them all the time so it was fun to visit family. We were sure glad to make it home and back to Daddy!

What a crazy day!

So, Just to let everyone know, Brooke is doing better. She had to go to the hospital yesterday for some not so fun test to make sure her bladder and Kidneys are ok. The found out that she has some reflux back up into her kidneys, so that basically means one of her valves is shutting all the way. The tech told us that they usually just keep them on antibiotics for a year and then re run the test to make sure everything has healed up. My little baby isn't supposed to have to go through all this! Thankfully dad was there because I was about to loose it. She was totally screaming her head off during the test, Poor baby. She feel asleep immediately after in my arms and took a crazy long nap. Then it was my turn... I had to go get an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok. I had had some problems early on but everything turned out. They found our new babies heartbeat and looks like we will be having a new arrival March 12, 2009!!! Yeah! After all this crazy, we were all beat and slept so good!

Family Vacation

We took family vacation this year to Destin, Florida. We had a blast. the drive was kinda hard with Brooke. She did much better on the way back. The water was beautiful. I never want to swim in Galveston again. It makes you realize what a beach is supposed to look like.Anyway. I just started our blog for family and wanted to let everyone catch up with what has been going on in our life. We took our vacation in May. Brooke loves to eat the sand. She ate so much she started choking. That kinda freaked me out!!

So I am a little crazy. But your first baby only turns one once! Right! We got this 18ft water slide and had a pretty nice party for her. Brooke was hilarious about the slide. Her dad took her down a few times and she was just cracking up. The water stayed on all day. Needless to say the grass was nice and green except a few spots died from to much water. So, this weekend I was crazy. I told two of my friends I would make cake's for their showers. One a baby shower and one a couples shower. To make it easy on myself I decided to make the same basic cake in different colors. I spent all of Friday night baking the cakes and Saturday I decorated the couples shower cake for that night. It was great. Everything was beautiful and the cake turned out beautiful. Sunday was My good friend from high schools first baby girl's shower. I got up and started frosting the next cake. Brooke was just running around playing being your average crazy one year old so I decided I would start to decorate the bottom tier. She was in the kitchen and I realized she was being really quiet I go around the corner to see she had pulled the middle tier cake down and was totally digging in to it. Caught in the Act!!! The shower was at one and it was 9:45. I couldn't get mad. Brooke was so innocent and hilarious.It was pretty cute. But totally stressful next few hours making a new cake. Needless to say Brooke was taking a nap.Yeah!!
